How to place an order
Browse through our store using the categories and brand links, or using the search box. When you've found something that takes your fancy, choose your size and colour options (where available) from the drop down menu and click 'add to cart'. Continue shopping until you've found everything you want to get.
Then, hit the 'checkout' button and follow the checkout process.
We will send you an email to confirm your order, and to let you know when your goods will be dispatched.
How secure is the Forty Five online store?
Our store uses PayPal for payments, and PayPal automatically encrypts your confidential information in transit from you computer to ours using the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol with an encryption key length of 128 bits (the highest level commercially available).
You do not need to have a PayPal account to purchase from our store - you can just enter your card details and PayPal will do the rest. Of course, if you already have a PayPal account then you can use it.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We gladly accept Maestro, Visa, Visa Electron, Solo, Switch, MasterCard, American Express, or regular account payments all through PayPal.
How much does shipping cost?
United Kingdom: £1.00 + 50p per item
Europe: £1.50 + 50p per item
United Kingdom: £2.50 + £1.00 per item
How long does shipping take?
All orders received before 3.30pm will be sent out the same day, orders received after 3.30pm will be sent out the next day. Order received after 3.30pm on Friday or on the weekend or bank holidays will be sent the next working day. If we are unable to send you order out within these time scales then we shall contact you immediately.
Do you ship worldwide?
Yes we do! Please allow 1-2 weeks for delivery.
Availability
We do everything we can to make sure that the content of the web site is up to date, although very occasionally we can sell out of a particular item before we can update it on the web site. If this is the case, we shall email you immediately to let you know when the item will be back in stock, or if you don't want to wait then you can choose to exchange it for something else, or have a refund.
Colours and descriptions
We represent the items as accurately as possible in our images, but we cannot guarantee that the colours will be exactly as they appear on our web site. If you are unhappy with any of your purchases, then you can return them for a full refund. [see refunds below]
Returns policy
We want you to be totally happy with your purchases from Forty Five. If you are not completely satisfied then simply return the items to us in their original condition, within 14 days of receipt. The item must be returned in it's original packaging and with any enclosed documentation.
We will then offer a full refund on receipt and examination. We do not refund delivery charges.
Please be aware that we will not accept returns that are received by us after 14 days, or that have been worn, torn, soiled or damaged to due care instructions not being followed. We would therefore strongly recommend that you follow any care instructions provided on the garment. We would also suggest that when you are trying on clothes that you take care not to leave any make-up/deodorant marks on them. We don't accept clothes with cigarette burns on them either - yes, really some people have tried this....

Vintage items
We aim to describe vintage items as accurately as possible, noting any visible damage, and due to the very nature of vintage items being pre-worn, we do not accept returns unless the item has been mis-described.
Books and magazines
All book and magazine sales are final, and we do not offer returns for them.
Faulty items
If your purchase is faulty, or not what you ordered then please contact us on info@fortyfiveclothing.com with the details of your order and the nature of the fault, and we will then let you know how to proceed.
When returning the items to us, the items are your responsibility until we received them, so please choose a postal service that covers you for any loss of the item. Once we receive your return we will contact you by email to confirm receipt and advise when the refund will be issued. If there are no issues with the refund, we shall issue the refund the same day. Please not that refunds can take 5 - 10 working days depending on your bank or card-issuer.
